| Betie Ahern was born in Dublin on September 12 1951.
Bertie was educated by the Christian Brothers at St. Aidan's secondary school.
He later furthered his education at the Rathmines College of Commerce, University
College in Dublin and the London School of Economics. During these studies he
earned qualifications taxation, business administration and computer science.
Bertie
was elected to Dail Eireann in 9177 as a member of the Fianna Fail party. Betie
was always headed for the top, holding illustrious positions such as an assistant
whip, a junior minister, minister for labour, In 1991 Bertie was appointed the
most celebrated position as Minister for Finance. Bertie Ahern is the current
Taoiseach of Ireland (Prime Minister) and has enjoyed almost unprecedented popularity
in his role. He as seen as a lovable rogue by the people of Ireland, and one could
think that Bertie could stay in Government for ever it his fellow party members
could command the same respect. Bertie Ahern lives in Drumcondra which is situated
North of the River Liffey where he also owns a Public House.
